Welcome to NaNoWriMo, Day 18!

How’s week three treating you? Is your plot kind of, sort of gelling? Are your characters more able to stand on their own two feet?

If yes, yay! If not, trust us, just give it a bit more time.

Today, we’re back with another overheard conversation. You know how we, and your muses, feel about those!

At a public boat launch, three men wrestle a boat onto a trailer:

[Crash.]

“Whoa, Nelly!”

[Thud.]

Proving that not everyone uses expletives, even when landing on his. . .patootie.

~ Overheard by Chris Bailey

Aw. What an adorable character quirk that would be, especially for a particularly hot hero. 😉

Your random challenge word of the day is: glory

Hmm. If your protagonist isn’t experiencing anything glorious, just use the word sarcastically. A little snark never hurt anyone.

Don’t forget to leave us a comment and let us know how you’re doing! And if you’ve managed to use any challenge words in a sentence, please share!

Happy Noveling! :-)
