This Week in Chick Lit

~ By Melina Kantor

Hi Everyone!

Congratulations on making it through another week.

Planning on doing some reading and / or writing this weekend? Here are some links and stories to help get you going.

News:

The 10th anniversary edition of Girls’ Night In, an anthology of short stories by well-known chick lit authors including Marian Keyes and Candace Bushnell, will be available soon. All profits from the Girls’ Night In books go to War Child, a charity that helps children affected by war.

This is just further proof of the power of chick lit and the generosity of those who read and write our favorite genre.

In other news, it seems Bridget Jones is coming back. Helen Fielding recently confirmed that she’s working on a third installment of the book and the movie.

Speaking of Bridget Jones, how’s this for some writerly inspiration:

Announcements:

The winner of Eileen Rendahl’s new book (according to random.org) is Madeline. Congratulations Madeline! We’ll be in touch soon.
