President’s Letter

From the writing desk of Nicole R. Locker

Dear CRW Members,

Happy April! The Stiletto Contest just closed yesterday, and we are excited to see the judging commence on those entries here in the coming days. If you are signed up to judge entries, just a quick reminder that you can ask questions or flag problematic entries by contacting your judge coordinator who emailed you. There’s still time to sign up to judge entries here if you haven’t been able to sign up yet. Just scroll all the way down the page and complete the Judge Signup Form.

We also just got our Spring Mentor Matching Program underway this past month with six pairs matched to Mentor and be Mentored. We hope these coming weeks will be a great experience for each of our matches!

April Writing Challenge

Be sure to join in on the monthly Writing Challenge. You set your own word count goal for the month and report your new word counts at the interval of your choosing (daily, weekly, hourly, etc.). We’ll tally the overall goal at the end of the month, but you can see the progress as updates are reported throughout the month. Encourage other members to hit their goals and get encouragement from them!

Major shout outs to our March participants who hit 100% of their writing goal: Despina Karras and Lauren Connolly. Way to go!! And all our March participants for all your hard work this past month. Look how close you all got overall!
