President’s Letter

Dear CRW Members,

What an exciting email to write to you all today! We have a few new announcements, including your new CRW Board lineup for 2024, the official opening of our annual Novel Celebration (don’t miss this one!), and one of my final emails to send you all as your CRW President. While I will remain on the board next year as Treasurer, I want to let you all know that it has been a true pleasure to serve as your President for the past 2 years as we led CRW into new territory being a standalone writing organization. I’m excited to see CRW continue to grow and thrive, and we can’t do it without an incredible membership. You are what makes this organization special.

I also want to share that I am so very glad I stepped out of my comfort zone a few years ago and offered to step into a vacated role. Through my time serving on this board and volunteering in various ways for CRW, I have met some truly incredible people that I now consider friends! I am blessed by the connections and friendships I’ve made and continue to make with those who have pitched in here and there or served alongside me. I hope that many of you will consider this an invitation to step out of your own comfort zones and look at volunteer opportunities we have in 2024. (You can still sign up for those here!)

I hope to continue seeing you all in workshops, sprints, and other CRW programming, so rather than a farewell, I will share a “see you soon!”
