Creating Experiences to Inspire Your Writing

2022 January | Business

WHEN: January 1, 2022 – January 31, 2022 via GroupsIO

Course Description:

When I came back from 3 years of homeschooling my son while we wandered through Europe, I wrote about the value of adventure for writing in a post for Hearts through History: https://www.heartsthroughhistory.com/2018/05/14/rocket-yourself-back-into-the-past-go-wwoofing-to-research-your-next-historical-novel-by-christa-bedwin/

This course builds on that idea — we can turn our daily contemporary, everyday life adventures into more vibrant writing, too. Learning to look through a different lens, we can tune in to the sensual experiences in the coffee shop to fire up the sensuality of an encounter, or the contemplative action of spinning into a rhythm to present our heroine’s thoughts.

Just like photographers learn to see more beauty in everyday minutiae and grand vistas, we will learn to exercise our writers’ minds in new ways to see and write about our everyday hands-on experiences in way to infuse our writing with energy and verve and bubble.
